How to Make Low Carb | Keto Ice-Pops

If you've seen my recent Instagram feed, you know that I am trying to go Keto. The ketogenic diet is VERY LOW in carbs and SUPER HIGH in fat. Why you may ask...well as a fitness pro/ wellness coach- I want to go through it before I help others who want to go keto. Secondly, I want to heal my body and teach my body to operate on body fat for fuel.

I am 4 weeks in and I have to say that it has not been a bed of roses, but I've learned so much in these 4 weeks. Now, I must say that I am not having any monster sugar cravings- one reason is because of all of the flavor I am getting from fat-YUMMO :-)

I did want to find creative ways to get my carbs in without having to cook up something every time. These bad boys are what I came up with in my lab ( aka my kitchen lol).

Here's the recipe:

  1. 3/4 cup of your favorite full - fat Greek yogurt

  2. 1/2 blueberries

  3. 1/2 cup almond milk or coconut milk

  4. 1 scoop protein powder

  5. 1 tablespoon of your favorite sweeter ( I used a Stevia packet)

Blend ingredients well in a blender until smooth. then pour into molds.

Allow the pops to freeze for about 4-6 hours, then enjoy. That's it!!! all you have to do next is enjoy them. hey by the way, did you sign-up for my free-7 day fitness challenge? Get free- access now, by clicking on the link above. I'd love to see your ice- pop creations. lease share them with me @barucwellness on instagram #fitandwelltribe. Until next time...blessings to you and yours.
