Updated: Jul 29, 2019

Stress is something we will all face at some point in life and that/s totally normal especially in today's society, where everyone is so busy. Although stress happens to us all, for some it has become a "dark cloud" that we can't seem to shake. If you are super busy and cannot remember the last time you had some time for yourself- keep reading.

When we are experiencing stress that we can't shake it can become chronic, which can lead to sleepless nights, frustration, overeating, depression, and even rage. In order to feel well and enjoy the life you've been blessed with again- you may want to incorporate a self-care routine to help you unwind each day.

One of my favorite ways to melt away stress and get into "rest mode" is applying a nice essential oil blend to apply to my temples and wrist after a warm shower at night and enjoy my herbal tea. This helps me to unwind form my day so that I can actually be present for my husband and talk about our day together. This bed time routine helps me to also get a good night's sleep, which is critical for me, in order to be at 100% the next day.

Essential oils are extracted from plants/ herbs and are very potent. This means that you can enjoy the soothing benefits of herbs like lavender and chamomile in an essential oil blend. However, use caution with formulating your own blends to avoid irritations due to it's potency.
